About me
Hello, my name is Sofie Cornillon Guerrero. I am French and Spanish and grew up in Switzerland. I lived in New York, Paris and Geneva before settling in London in 1989, where my daughter was born. My background is in dance and the visual arts.

Learning from my failures, picking myself up, continuing to pursue my life’s dreams with tenacity, creativity and enthusiasm: none of these things came from my French upbringing. Luckily the Spanish Duende pulled me through during my early adulthood and guided me towards London. This city was the place I needed to start a process of transformation.
In every sense I needed a new language.
I needed to confront chronic depression and a battle with an eating disorder which had plagued me since I was 18. If I was to become a good enough mother and create a new life for us both, I had to allow myself to confront fear, loss, rage, guilt and shame, and to start the slow process of debunking my inner-critics and integrating my shadow.
Archetypes, astrology, an artistic path and coaching.
My experience of Jungian wisdom, as part of a group and as an individual, was life changing. It was during this 7 years long therapy that I discovered the rich world of archetypes made flesh and the fundamental and life-saving lesson of “learning from my failures”.
I was able to embark on formal studies of astrology at the Faculty of Astrological studies in London and decided to commit myself again to an artistic path, the one which I had abandoned when I was very young in a singular act of self sabotage. Later on, and after more successes and more failures, I began in 2019 to train with Animas as a Transformational Life Coach. My objective became to learn more about how we can impact our lives consciously and positively and about how we may support others.
There have been twin paths in my life, led by a fascination with how our psyche works and by an urge to create and to show.
Whether we make artwork, a way of life or a business; self-awareness, inner confidence, curiosity, humour, resilience, commitment, accountability and self-love are all crucial. A good understanding of our environment, the people we work with, as well as where we fit in a bigger social, cultural, political, economic and spiritual picture are essential if we want to co-create our lives and impact positively upon people around us and upon society as a whole.
Several decades on I am still following these paths, but I travel more lightly. A sense of wonder, and humour, permits me to dive deeply, sometimes into the shadows, to the other side of light, and then to emerge. I attempt to transform and, with willing participation, I sometimes succeed.
I am a qualified ANIMAS Transformational coach, Positive Intelligence® Coach, certified astrologer from the Faculty of Astrological Studies and member practitioner of the EMCC, which means that I abide by the EMCC code of ethics. I am fully insured and have a coach supervisor.
